Experimental investigation of the film cooling performance by triangular-shaped thin plates on inclined cylindrical holes

Experimental investigations have been conducted to improve the cooling effectiveness of film-cooling technology. A multiple row cylindrical holes at flat surface was considered by inclining 35° along streamwise direction. low-speed wind tunnel with main flow speed 10 m/s devised create a cross Reynolds number 196,167 and five blowing ratios 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1, 2. The proposed triangular-shaped thin plate flop film hole were investigated using visualization thermographic techniques. resulting performances also experimentally evaluated compared respect different configurations. typical configuration shape shows 0.1 ration 1.0. It should be denoted that this is exemplary value wide range gas turbine applications. We evaluates in order valid our experimental method. Meanwhile, plate-flop, detachment successfully prevented requiring 8% increase discharge coefficient. In addition, stable even distant downstream, enhanced performance plate. Consequently, 242.7% improvement can achieved plate-flop than owing its coverage.
